Bookworm Blurbs

Really enjoying my re-read of Treasure Island! I was expecting to enjoy it, but not quite as much as I am, since, based on my memories of reading this as a sixth-grader, I'd only given it 3 stars on goodreads. Bu I've found that this is a great adventure story, fast-moving without skimming over the important details. Jim makes for a fun and reliable narrator and reading about his experiences is really enjoyable, especially since he's so young. Stevenson hasn't made him unrealistically mature, nor has he made him annoyingly dense. Very, very happy with how this book is going so far. 

Of course, it probably helps that I don't have to write a paper when I finish reading this time around.
