Bookworm Blurbs

I really like this book so far! I think it goes much more in depth into how Pat’s actually feeling than the movie did - I get that it’s hard to do, but the movie kind of made Pat look totally crazy, which I feel is what this book is trying to avoid. The book and the movie both want to show that the stigmas about mental illness are wrong and that people who suffer from it need to be treated with more compassion, but I do feel that the movie kind of made Pat look completely ridiculous at parts, whereas the book shows the thought process behind everything he does. And while the thought process is definitely abnormal, you can see that he does actually think logically, in his own way. And I think that’s really important.
