I absolutely adore reading - my love for books has had a huge impact on my life! I'm going to grad school to be a children's/YA librarian.
I don't know what it is exactly about this book, but I'm enjoying it so much more than its predecessor. The flaws that I noticed before are still there - including the one that bothered me the most (lack of sophisticated character development) - but I'm more appreciative of the strengths of Strong Justice than I was with Strong Enough to Die, even though both books possessed them. This time around, I've noticed and appreciated Land's mastering of the western genre and the intricacy of his plot development. In fact, I'm so appreciative of these qualities that I don't even really mind the lesser characterization - and for me, a reader whose favorite aspect of a book is the characterization, that's a huge accomplishment for a writer to fulfill.
