I absolutely adore reading - my love for books has had a huge impact on my life! I'm going to grad school to be a children's/YA librarian.

Reading progress update: I've read 70%.

Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe - Fannie Flagg

This book is so good. As I’ve said before, I love the writing style. It’s so funny yet eloquent at the same time. Fannie Flagg just picks the absolute perfect way to phrase everything. I think this was the most touching section so far - it had its funny parts, but it also was tragic, too. I don’t really know what’s left to really talk about,

now that Ruth’s died

. I suppose we need to finish up Evelyn and Ninny’s story, but to be honest, I’m not as interested in that. I don’t really like Evelyn at all. I thought she was wishy-washy, and now she’s way too aggressive and mean-spirited. As for Ninny, I think I know where things are going with her - I’m fairly certain that she has Alzheimers; at least, it sure seems that way. So I’m excited to see what happens, but I don’t know where else the book could go. I guess we could talk more about Idgie? Now that interests me - she's hilarious!
