I absolutely adore reading - my love for books has had a huge impact on my life! I'm going to grad school to be a children's/YA librarian.
I read this for my YA class.. I'm not really sure what I think about it, which is why I put only three stars. It's a really interesting story to read and the world that it takes place in is fascinating. But the main problem that I had with this book is that very little is explained. I'm still not sure if the main character was human - I think he was, but the world that he lives in is so different from the real world that I'm not really sure. The book could be very confusing and it felt like the author was in such a rush to tell the story that he didn't begin at the beginning and he never really made up for that.
I would recommend this to older elementary school kids, or middle school kids. This book is probably too young for high school students to be very interested by it. It's a good book, but it could be better.
