I absolutely adore reading - my love for books has had a huge impact on my life! I'm going to grad school to be a children's/YA librarian.
Yet another lovely book that was introduced to me by my book club! I've always been fascinated by Marilyn Monroe, so I was really interested in reading this and was thrilled to see it on our reading list. The copy that I read (the film copy) is actually two books in one: My Week with Marilyn and The Prince, the Showgirl, and Me. MWwM is about the time that Colin Clark spent with Marilyn, and the second book is about his experience working on the film as a whole. I found both to be very interesting, but definitely enjoyed the first section the most. It could get a bit difficult to follow sometimes, especially the second part because of Clark's use of abbreviations instead of people's actual names. Also, I don't really think that this is the best format for the book; it would be much easier to read if the first book was inserted into its proper place in the second book (chronologically, it takes place smack-dab in the middle of the second book). Overall, definitely an interesting read written by a person who was in the perfect fly-on-the-wall position. I recommend this to Marilyn fans and film enthusiasts alike!
