Bookworm Blurbs

I read this with my book club, and really enjoyed it! While I was excited to read it because I love Jane Austen, I was also a little worried, because it typically takes me several attempts before I actually finish her books. When I do finish them, I love them, but it usually takes me a while to get interested in the story line. With Northanger Abbey, this was not the case. The protagonist, Catherine Morland, captured my attention from the very beginning, and as always, I loved Austen's witty style of writing. If you've never read a book by Jane Austen, I think this one would be a good starting point, even though it's lesser known, because I think it's the easiest one to really get into. It had a great plot, great romance, and an amusing tone. I definitely recommend this to any lover of Jane Austen novels!
